Holiday fishing workshops for 8-14’s will be held April 16 2013 at Greenwell Point .  The fishing activity is run by the DPI (details at http://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/fisheries/recreational/info/workshop).  Fishing is a great family activity, so join up and learn to fish this holidays.

We have been awarded a Bronze Gumnut – an eco based rating program for environmentally sustainable business practices.

To achieve the award we were judged across ten categories including energy efficiency, water and wastewater, biodiversity and local community.

Next, we are aiming to entrench & improve environmentally friendly practices and achieve T-Qual Accreditation.

Dear ….., As mentioned yesterday the current introduction for Angler’s Rest is misleading.  Greenwell Point has a population of around 1,000 people and includes at most 6 café / restaurants, 1 club, 1 pub, 1 butcher, 3 shops/grocery stores, and 1 petrol station.  It is a beautiful, quiet fishing village surrounded by water, great fishing and beaches, and trees and birdlife and 15 minutes from many other naturally beautiful places.  There is not a city or traffic or traffic light in sight.  I have highlighted below the phrases that are just plain wrong – can you ask the appropriate department to refer to our website for some accurate information?  www.anglersrest.com.au

Marine Rescue – Shoalhaven are now holding markets on the 3rd Sunday of each month at Titania Park (opposite Angler’s Rest) to help raise much needed funds.  Items on sale vary each month, but include clothing, woodwork, plants and lots more – so come along, support Marine Rescue and find yourself a bargain in Greenwell Point!! 

Note: due to council restrictions the markets are cancelled if the grounds are wet.

 Water activities like water skiing & wake boarding are a great family holiday activity on the South Coast.   Jamie at Shoalhaven Ski & Wake and Simon at Wow-watersports have both taken us, our kids, friends and family out a few times.  All our family & friends had a blast and will be back!!
